EASTER is coming!!!!

I know how most people are unhappy when Easter products (aka Hot Cross Buns) start to share shelf space in your local supermarket only days afer the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over - and I see now that mass produced commercial Easter Eggs are already on the shelf, even if the temperature in the supermarket is well over the acceptable temperature for couverture (if they use couverture!!).  So - it is then a bit cheeky of me to advertise our Easter Classes and Activities - but as most of your know by now I like to be organised and perhaps I can tempt you to make your own Easter gifts so that you can offer your family and friends something hand made & unique, made by you using the best Belgian couverture.

BOOK NOW for Renaissance Chocolates hand-made Easter Truffle Making Classes.

Learn the art of chocolate making from the region’s best-known artisan chocolate makers.

This 3 hour class is a great way to learn the basic skill of chocolate truffle making and have loads of fun decorating your truffles in a fun Easter style. No pressure – only amateurs accepted!!  Taste! Experience! Create!!

Classes limited to four students.  Take home 2 dozen Easter truffles or Chocsicles that you have created. $75 per person.  Morning tea included, plus take home tips and techniques.  Also available for purchase on the day are supplies for you to make more of your creations at home.  Dates available include :  Sat March 22 and 29 plus Sat April 5 and 12 – 9.30am – 12.30pm.  Please enquire if your group of four would like an alternative date.  


If you just don’t have time to make your own handmade EASTER truffles place your order PRIOR TO MONDAY APRIL 7!!  Box of 8 including flavors of Caramel, Honey, Hot Cross Buns and Muscat, beautifully handcrafted and decorated – $18 per box

HIGH COUNTRY HARVEST - May 16-25, 2014  There are some fantastic evens planned for this year's High Country Harvest so keep your eyes and ears open to constant updates.  Renaissance Chocolates will be involved in two very special events -

Sunday 18 May 2014 - LAZY SUNDAY CHOCOLATE BREAKFAST - 9.30-11.30am  

$45 PER HEAD.  Max 20 people

'Imagine starting the day with a white chocolate brulee, followed by cafe au lait and a pain a chocolat.  Treat yourself to an indulgent Sunday morning chocolcate breakfast and mee Neil, the chocolate maker whos ready to divulge his secrets and show off his skills'

Saturday 24 May - HIGH TEA RENAISSANCE - 2 - 4.30 pm

$40 per head  Max 20 people

'Delight in and afternoon of fine wines, luxury chocolcates and High Tea.  Start at Rutherglen Estates for a Sparkling Shiraz Durif, while matchin chocolate and wine.  A bus will brinig you here for a chocolate making demo and wine matchin session before sitting down to a decadant Chocolate High Tea.'
